Court of Justice Prevailed Upon by Corrupt PM Tuilaepa ...

Corrupt PM Tuilaepa is misusing and abusing the tax payers’ funded  Savali Newspaper  again to publish his rubbish excuses and corrupt lies in to fool the people again, in regards to the Police Commissioner and the Police Dept.  However, he made no mention of his former  Police Minister MP Pinati’s involvement and part played in this whole mess, which was the reason why he moved corrupt MP Pinati to another portfolio to keep him safe as he took over the Police Portfolio to cover up the corruption.

About 90% of the whole interview was irrelevant to what is really concerning the people today –  that the former and current Ministers of Police,  MP Pinati and corrupt PM Tuilaepa, have both abused power and their positions to commit corruption which led to the ‘circus’ and corruption within the police force today.

From the Savali Newspaper Article dated 29 Nov 2016 and titled – “PM Tuilaepa: course of justice will prevail” below are some of his comments in verbatim from  his interview and my responses to them.
  • “Cabinet’s decision is based on the rule of law which has and continues to govern this government since it was voted in to office more than 30 years ago,”  the Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi told Police.
If Cabinet’s decision is based on the rule of law, yet the Cabinet reinstated PC Egon back to his position after the courts cleared him of all charges and found him not guilty, then WHO ORDERED THE ARREST OF PC EGON AGAINST THE CABINET’S DECISION?

Well it was very clear that IT WAS THE FORMER POLICE MINISTER, MP SALA FATA PINATI, WHO GAVE THE ORDER FOR PC EGON’S ARREST AS STATED BY SUSPENDED SENIOR POLICE OFFICER, SAMOA MULINU’U.  That means MP PINATI BROKE THE LAW! So why didn’t he 'have the guts' to do the right thing and step down and take ownership of all the mess withing the police dept under his leadership, whilst the Commission of Inquiry investigate him along with the rest of the police force?  This confirms what I’ve been saying all along that CORRUPT PM TUILAEPA AND THE FORMER MINISTER OF POLICE , SALA FATA PINATI,  WERE BEHIND THE SET UP AND ARREST OF PC EGON ALL ALONG.

  • In an interview with the Savali Newspaper explaining the Cabinet reshuffle, Tuilaepa said that oversight of law and order enforcement in the beginning was always the Prime Minister’s responsibility.
Of course it’s his responsibility and that’s why the Police force became corrupted in the first place - because of his corrupt decisions and those of former Minister of Police, MP Pinati, to sweep all evidence of corruption under the carpet including any evidence against HRPP members and their supporters. Now it’s out of control due to their abuse of power and corruption.

  • Addressing the Police last week, Tuilaepa did not mince words. “No one is above the law. If you are implicated in activities of disrepute, have the guts to resign.”
  1. Why didn’t you corrupt PM Tuilaepa have the guts to remove former Minister of Finance, corrupt MP Liuga and the Minister of Police Sala Fata Pinati and many other public servants who were involved in fraud and corruption, which you covered up instead? You’re the biggest crook and liar.
  2. It appears to me corrupt PM Tuilaepa that what you said here is directed to PC Egon and you’re hoping for him to resign whilst he’s on suspension. Why are you wishing for it? Because he’s got enough evidence to have all of you corrupt thugs in govt arrested, prosecuted and jailed. But why should PC Egon resign when he was only doing his job and the people of this nation have shown confidence and feel safer under his protection?

  • “In 1999, while attending a United Nations meeting in New York, I had personally requested to the UN Secretary-General to include our Police in their Peacekeeping Mission.” – corrupt PM Tuilaepa.
No one is worried about the police serving overseas and that is irrelevant to the issue at hand. The people are more concerned about the corruption within the local police and the people are feeling unsafe and insecure. They have no confidence in the police right now.

  • “One of the reasons for the creation of the National Prosecution Office was to help Samoa Police tackle criminal prosecutions.” – corrupt PM Tuilaepa.
  1. NPO is just a plastic idea of corrupt PM Tuilaepa's. The lawyers working in NPO are all the corrupt lawyers (including suspended ‘negligent’ Mauga Precious Chang and Muriel Lui)  who were working under the corrupt former Attorney General, Aumua Ming Leung Wai.  This gang of lawyers are corrupt PM Tuilaepa’s ‘kids.’
  2. NPO is NOT independent as it was originally supposed to be. How can it be when it was the same gang of NPO corrupt lawyers who were working together  with the corrupt Senior Police and carried out corrupt PM Tuilaepa and MP Pinati’s instructions to have PC Egon arrested on the same Monday morning he returned to work? In doing so, they over-ruled Cabinet’s decision to re-instate PC Egon back to his position in the process. All this tells me about this corrupt lot is that they are a vindictive bunch and will stop at nothing to have their vendetta against Police Commissioner Egon manifested.

  • “Everybody wants a professional police department. One that’s accountable to the people, to protect and serve the people.” – corrupt PM Tuilaepa
The police dept. was professional, accountable to the people, and they protected and served the people – under the leadership of Police Commissioner Egon until you and MP Pinati had him arrested and suspended, again. But corrupt PM Tuilaepa, how can you now expect the police department to be professional when you and your former MoP corrupt MP Pinati,  and HRPP members  are the embodiment of ‘unprofessionalism’?

And why is the Commission of Inquiry only investigating the police force? Why was there no mention of MP Pinati to be included in that investigation?

Oh, I know why – because you and the former MoP are part of this corruption within the Police force. So you removed MP Pinati from the Police portfolio and you took over as Minister so you can wave your magic wand and cover up the corruption that has returned to haunt you.

Unfortunately for you both, your corrupt magic wand has lost its magic and the Truth will always prevail. You can fool some of the people some of the time but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time. Ku'u ia le kaufaavalea ma le kala pepelo.

Trial of Suspended Negligent NPO Director Begins...

PictureA NOT GUILTY PLEA: N.P.O Director, Mauga Precious Chang. (Credit: Samoa Observer)

According to this article, so far all the witnesses pointed directly at Mauga and said she was at fault – she failed to indicate and didn’t stop at the scene – instead she drove off. But watch how they are going to twist and turn this around and make everyone else involved in this accident as the ones who are at fault and all the witnesses will be accused  as liars – except for Mauga Precious Chang.

But think about it – THE WITNESSES AGAINST MAUGA PRECIOUS CHANG, the suspended NPO Director, HAD NO REASON AT ALL TO LIE BUT MAUGA CHANG HAD ALL THE REASONS TO LIE IN ORDER TO SAVE HERSELF AND HER JOB.

It’s very easy for the corrupt judiciary system here in Samoa to accuse the poor, the weak and the sick as liars but it’s very hard to accuse someone like Mauga Chang and the rest of the corrupt high profilers and elite of society as they have the corrupt govt on their side.

I said this before that this case will be a waste of tax payers’ money as the outcome is too predictable. At the end Mauga will be found not guilty and the excuse would be, ‘unreliable witness’ and ‘insufficient evidence’ despite the many physical evidence pointing towards her and the accounts of many eye-witnesses who saw her cause the accident and took off from the scene without stopping.

Remember, the corrupt former AG Aumua Leung Wai who is representing her (Mauga) and the lawyers in NPO including Mauga Precious Chang herself, all used to work for the former Attorney General corrupt Leung Wai under the watchful eye of corrupt PM Tuilaepa. And of course corrupt PM Tuilaepa will have a lot to do with the outcome of this case to protect his ‘children’ – it’s just a matter of placing a phone call and pulling some strings.

I’ve written many articles where I mentioned that there is NO JUSTICE at all here in Samoa. Even if Mauga Chan was caught and seen murdering someone and her prints everywhere at the crime scene, she’ll still walk free. CORRUPT PM TUILAEPA AND HIS CORRUPT HRPP PROTECT THEIR OWN AND ABUSE THE POWER OF THEIR POSITIONS TO REMAIN ABOVE THE LAW, UNDER THIS CORRUPT SYSTEM. “I’ll scratch your back and you scratch mine’ system – that’s how the corrupt roll in this country.

Police Commissioner Facing 259 Fake Charges....

22/11/2016

Picture Police commissioner Fuiavailili Egon Keil is facing 259 charges Photo Credit: Tipi Autagavaia RNZ

Now Fuiavailili has been charged with 120 offences of the illegal possession of firearms, eight counts of intimidation, six of threatening words, two of insulting words, and one each of attempt to procure murder, incite murder, and counsel murder – a total of 259 charges. 99% of those charges will be dropped.

According to the news article, ‘the charges were the results of an inquiry into a complaint filed by a police officer holding the rank of corporal who was one of the officers involved in a drug raid at Faleatiu in August this year. It is alleged the officer had been ordered by the police commissioner to shoot to kill a suspect. Other gun incidents relate to the confiscation by police of a gun surrendered during a firearms amnesty last year.’

Firstly, I don’t think the police that complained understood the orders given by the Police Commissioner at the time of the raid. When a police carries a weapon, the weapon itself is there for the police to use in self defence and for the protection of the public . When the police are involved in a raid or face a situation where the police and/or the public are at high risk, then they shoot. And when they shoot, they shoot to kill. You got to remember that times have changed and criminals are committing more serious and dangerous crimes today and that were never committed in Samoa before. If you shoot a suspect who has a weapon and he was prepared to use it against the police and members of the public, and that suspect survives, there’s a chance he will shoot back at the police or a member of the public and kill them.  That’s why all the time when an order is given to shoot, you got to shoot to kill. The Tactical Response Unit were all trained to know when and when not to shoot.

As for these charges against the Police Commissioner Fuiavailiili Egon Keil, they  are beyond comical. These are the old charges that were thrown out of court recently but the corrupt police and NPO re-worded them to create new charges and some of these charges were upgraded – all in a combined, desperate attempt by corrupt PM Tuilaepa, the Minister of Police Sala Fata Pinati, corrupt police officers and NPO to get rid of PC Egon.  If PC Egon was found not guilty on lesser/lower charges, what are the chances of him being found guilty on upgraded charges? Surely they must know that any vendetta against a suspect when presented in court would be thrown out by the judge.

Now let’s break it down:

  • PC Egon arrested Mauga Precious Chang, the suspended Director of the National Prosecutors Offic, for drink driving and negligent driving causing injury and dangerous driving. The NPO suspended Director and Acting Director including the former Attorney General Aumua Leung Wai, all have a vendetta against PC Egon. These 3 have their own little ‘gang’ happening and are referred to as corrupt PM Tuilaepa’s children.

  • Corrupt senior police officers were investigated and demoted by PC Egon.Whilst PC Egon was on leave, the same demoted officers were promoted and they investigated him. Upon his return, the same senior officers arrested PC Egon recently – therefore they have a vendetta against PC Egon.

  • Then there’s the Minister of Police, Sala Fata Pinati, and the corrupt PM Tuilaepa who are the driving force behind all this vendetta against PC Egon.

  • Everyone in Samoa, locally and abroad, know there’s corruption in corrupt PM Tuilaepa’s HRPP govt and within the police force and there are mountains of evidence to prove it. And PC Egon will not hesitate nor will he fear carrying out arrests of Ministers and corrupt PM Tuilaepa if there’s enough evidence to charge them with.

The corruption within the Police force has been going on for a very long time and the real perpetrators are corrupt PM Tuilaepa and his HRPP Ministers.

I wrote a thread 2 years ago that the police force is not there to protect the public but exists only to protect the interest of corrupt PM Tuilaepa and HRPP. The police dept is corrupt PM Tuilaepa and HRPP’s M16.  Anyone including MPs who do not participate nor approve of their corrupt and questionable activities, will be shot down and put away by the use of corrupt laws to arrest them.

The same thing happened to the former late Police Commissioner Lilomaiava Fou. He got suspended without being given a ‘real’ reason and he turned around and sued the police dept and the Minister of Police, MP Pinati. He passed away mysteriously just before he was to tell all and I’m very suspicious of his ‘mysterious’ death. PC Egon better watch his back carefully as these corrupt officials are watching him and will not rest until they get him.

The Cabinet better order a Commission of Inquiry urgently into the whole Ministry of Police to investigate the police and the corruption before someone gets killed. There’s also a need to investigate corrupt PM Tuilaepa and his past and present goons (MPs) and have them arrested too. The Cabinet, you have evidence right under your nose – it’s just a matter of courage on your part to do the right thing and bring the Truth about.

What a co-incidence that all of this happening to PC Egon and the Police, both corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the Minister of Police Sala Fata Pinati are both overseas. They’ve been overseas for quite some time now  and don’t seem to worry about what’s happening here to our police force – they’re hiding seems like they’ve abandoned their posts.  They both need to come back now and explain themselves as there are a lot of questions gone unanswered.

How the struggle in Samoa impact Samoans abroad…

PictureSELLING GREEN COCONUTS TO SURVIVE: Sii Auatama, 44, from the village of Vaitele. (photo credit: Samoa Observer)

I know there are a lot of Samoan families living overseas who refuse to say no to their families /relatives here in Samoa whenever they ring and ask them for money. The money is usually for a faalavelave, the alofa o le faifeau, taulaga, monotaga, saoga tupe, funeral, electricity bill, school fees, clothes for the kids, court cases, buildings, food, phone top up, when someone’s in hospital, bus fare, medication, new toilets and the list can go on and on and on. All these things are funded by you who are living overseas and you and us here in Samoa know that’s the Truth. This is the Truth that has been denied by corrupt PM Tuilaepa and HRPP for many years.

Many Samoan families living abroad are struggling and living below the poverty line. They’ve sacrificed  their own family needs because they’d rather send over the money to help out their families here in Samoa. This is also another reason why most parents would rather see their kids go off to work instead of furthering their education for a brighter future  – because the parents put the  value more on money than the kids’ education.  And so the cycle of struggling continues for both Samoans – here and abroad.

The fundamental question is -  HOW ARE WE GOING TO BREAK THIS CYCLE OF POVERTY? If we are going to wait on this corrupt HRPP govt to develop this country economically, improve the quality of life and standard of living and create jobs for our people, we’ll be waiting forever. It’s not going to happen any time soon.  Both our foreign and internal debts are right up to our necks which means poverty will continue to increase.

My advice to our fellow Samoans living abroad - stop sending over large sums of money as your families and this corrupt govt will abuse it – especially the corrupt govt. Instead, come to Samoa and have a look around and see what project you can do here for your family. Once decided, get it up and going. Send tools or wires for pa pua’a or pa moa and tell your family to start working on your lands. If your family is into fishing – buy them fishing gear and a boat. It does not take much to start up a chicken farm or a pig farm. There’s a lot of free food for the pigs and chickens here as breadfruit is an all season staple now and the coconuts, always. If you want to buy coconuts you can get 100 for $15.

The people also need to put pressure on the govt to get off their fat, corrupt asses and do some real work by looking for markets overseas for crops and produce. The govt need to invest more money into our agriculture sector.

The next world problem is going to be food shortage. If the govt can pull out $100s of Millions to build those white elephants in town which generate zero income, then they can pull out $100 Million to invest on farming. We don’t need those foreign investors to come and take our land – we can do it ourselves if we have the right govt  - a govt with a vision. That’s why we need to get rid of the lazy and corrupt PM Tuilaepa and HRPP. We need hard working leaders who have vision and new ideas to rebuild this country and pay off their stupid $1.7+ Billion debt.

Weight lifting is one of the successful sports in Samoa. H.R.P.P and their Toilet Day...

This is what corrupt PM Tuilaepa and his HRPP govt are good for – toilets. They’re just toilets to the people of Samoa. When corrupt PM Tuilaepa was asked for Samoa to celebrate World Anti Corruption Day held annually on 9 December, he refused  - but he has no problem celebrating Toilet Day!  This man and his HRPP govt are nothing but a bunch of thieves, crooks and mental retards.

How can they promote to the people clean toilets and sinks and soap to wash their hands after using the toilet, when there are people in this nation who don’t have access to clean, sanitized water  due to corrupt HRPP govt not improving our water system?

And  why did they put a kid on the toilet instead of themselves? Corrupt PM Tuilaepa or one of his corrupt fat ass MPs should’ve been sitting on that toilet instead because it’s their corrupt poo that stunk out the country – not the kid’s. lol lol lol

The Root Cause of Corruption within the Police Force...

Picture
Corrupt PM Tuilaepa, Police Commissioner Fuiavailiili Egon Keil, Corrupt Minister of Police Sala Fata Pinati

I don’t care about what people may say but this is the Truth of the matter  – in regards to the mess that’s happening right now and the arrest of Police Commissioner Fuiavailiili Egon Keil, corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the Minister of Police, Sala Fata Pinati, are the ones involved and behind it.

It was the Cabinet that re-instated PC Egon after all charges against him were dropped just last week. This week, while corrupt PM Tuilaepa is overseas at Morrocco, PC Egon turned up to work to resume his duties only to be arrested, stripped and jailed, with fabricated charges laid against him, by police officers who were carrying out instructions from the Minister of Police S.F. Pinati.   Those charges were forwarded to the Cabinet.  As the Cabinet is not the court house – they had no choice but to let it go thru the proper judicial process.

This recent arrest of the Police Commissioner was planned way before the judge gave his verdict on PC Egon’s case. It was corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the Minister of Police S.F. Pinati’s back up plan laid ready if Egon was to be found not guilty by the courts.

There are a lot of factors as to why corrupt PM Tuilaepa wants PC Egon removed from his post. One of those reasons is that they have a problem with PC Egon being a law abiding officer who cannot and refuses to be manipulated to break the law in their favor.  He’s too straight up for them.

  • PC Egon is not afraid to arrest anyone( including MPs and corrupt PM Tuilaepa) provided there’s enough evidence against them proving they’ve committed crimes.

  • The arrest of Precious Chang  (the Director of the National Prosecutors Office (NPO) by PC Egon for  negligent driving causing injury and dangerous driving.   If you look at most of the lawyers that are now working at the N.P.O, including both suspended Director and Assistant Director Muriel Lui, they all worked previously under  the leadership of the former corrupt Attorney General, Aumua Ming Leung Wai. This former Attorney General Leung Wai  was heavily involved in creating corrupt PM Tuilaepa’s  corrupt and unconstitutional laws that exist today.

Now the MPs are calling for an Inquiry to investigate the Ministry of Police.

Think about it people, WHY DON’T THEY CALL AN INQUIRY TO INVESTIGATE ALL THE CORRUPTION (PAST AND PRESENT) WITHIN THE GOVT AS WELL AS THE CHIEF AUDITOR AND OPC REPORTS AND AT THE SAME TIME CLEAN UP THE CORRUPTION WITHIN THE MINISTRY OF POLICE?

Back to the Police, there is a division between the general police and the Tactical Operations Unit (T.O.U).  The T.O.U is loyal to PC Egon. This Unit is mostly made up experienced officers who were  ex-military and former overseas police.

The general police force is mostly made up of the police trained here in Samoa and some from overseas as well. A lot of the young police officers are well educated – some are lawyers with Law Degrees. These young officers have been suppressed by Senior Police who have no qualifications whatsoever. The young ones are doing all the paperwork for them while they do nothing and abuse their positions. What the young officers don’t know is that the Senior Officers are corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the Minister of Police’s puppets.

This is how it works. If anyone, including the MPs, speak out against the corrupt PM Tuilaepa or if corrupt PM Tuilaepa has a personal problem with someone, corrupt PM Tuilaepa just picks up the phone and let’s the Minister of Police know who he wants arrested. The Minister of Police then relays that to the corrupt Senior Officers who will fabricate charges or find anything to set up that person to have him arrested and face the judge in court.

Even if the person is not found guilty at the end of their court case, he will lose money and his name smeared from being dragged thru the mud. If the charges are serious, that person will knock on corrupt PM Tuilaepa’s door and beg for mercy. That’s how corrupt PM Tuilaepa abuses our police force to dictate, intimidate and oppress people – abusing his position and power in the process. That’s the reason why this police force is so corrupted today. That’s also why the corrupt Senior Officers are confidently committing corruption as they’ve got the Minister of Police and the corrupt PM backing them up.

Unfortunately for corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the Minister of Police, everything seems to backfire in their faces. Now the people of Samoa, both locally and abroad, are screaming out against the injustice and  corruption while at the same time demanding to have their Police Commissioner Fuiavailiili Egon Keil re-instated immediately.

The net is closing in on corrupt PM Tuilaepa and all the corrupt MPs and govt thugs.  Soia kou ke gaoi, kaufaavalea ma kala pepelo. Aua kou ke omai ma kou polokiki pepelo e kaufaavalea ai le akugu’u, e le valea uma Samoa.

PC Keil Set Up and Arrested by HRPP Thugs....

13/11/2016

PictureArchive photo - The Police Commissioner, on the day he took his oath of office. Source: Govt of Samoa

I’ve written numerous articles about the corruption in govt which is thriving thick and spreading like wildfire. The police who were  involved in the arrest of Police Commissioner Egon Keil, did not act alone but upon instructions from the Minister of Police, Sala Fata Pinati. The Prime Minister of Samoa, corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the Minister of Police Sala Fata Pinati were involved because they knew PC Egon will look into govt corruption upon his reinstatement.

I also mentioned in the past that half of the police force (including Senior Officers) needed to be removed because they are so accustomed to corruption it has become a culture within the police force. The govt also fear PC Egon because there are many powerful and educated people behind him and supportive of him – those people include the Attorney General of Hawaii and the Main land, USA. PC Egon is also working very closely with other law enforcements overseas (Australia, NZ) to help him clean up corruption in his country. That does not sit well with corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the corrupt in his govt.

What a coincidence that GOPAC held a workshop last week about corruption within the govt and a Samoan Chapter was established; PC Egon got arrested this morning and corrupt PM Tuilaepa and MP Fata Sala Pinati are both overseas. That’s right, PC Egon’s arrest was orchestrated by  both corrupt PM Tuilaepa and MP Pinati.

Even the case against PC Egon, the Minister of Police, Sala Fata Pinati should’ve been arrested and charged first before  PC Egon. That’s exactly why the case against PC Egon was thrown out as he was the secondary suspect  - not the Primary suspect.

If anyone who needs to be arrested here and be put behind bars are corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the Minister of Police – not PC Egon. Not every HRPP member is supportive of corrupt PM Tuilaepa but this is the time they need to stand up and have a vote of no confidence in corrupt PM Tuilaepa and have him ousted – he is no god and he was not chosen by God as he rigged the elections.

This country is falling apart due to past and present corruption and no one seems to care no more.

My advise to PC Egon, Don’t give up. I know how much you care for and love your people. Fight all the way. You are the people of Samoa’s Police Commissioner – full stop! The evil are still working on creating charges against you but the Truth will always prevail. Stand tall and stand proud. I told you before to watch your back as you clean up corruption thriving within our society which started from the govt. You are the Samoan David versing Goliath, the corrupt elite. All the best.

“It was all planned.” Who’s behind it all?

“It was all planned.” Who’s behind it all?"Many have been planning this for days. It was all planned. I wanted to talk to the PM (le toeaina) on Friday but he had left for overseas (ua malaga). I knew something like this would happen (sa ou iloa lava e iai se mea faapea e tupu)."
By Tuiloma Sina - SAMOA PLANET

In a shocking turn of events, Police Commissioner Fuiavailiili Egon Keil was detained in a prison cell at the Apia Police Station upon arrival to work this morning.

A constable who was assigned as the official driver for the Police Commissioner this morning was also detained and arrested when he tried to intervene. His wife was tearful, “He was contacted on Saturday that he would be starting as the Commissioner’s driver today. I had just dropped him off and before I got to my office, I received a call from him that he had been locked up. He has also been beaten.”

When Samoa Planet arrived at the Apia Police station this morning, not many Police Officers were aware of the situation.  Many did not seem to know that the Commissioner was being detained in a cell.

“I just arrived to work, I don’t know what’s going on.” said the Executive Secretary of the Department.  No-one could confirm what the charges were but a member of the public who was at the waiting area of the police station said that they could hear commotion and police officers fighting just minutes before SP arrived.
“Pei ni vevesiga ma ni fetauiga lena sa fai mai i tua i o.”

Another elderly man added, “This saddens me (faanoanoa tele), if the Police Commissioner is treated this way, then what chance do we have? (e leai se faamoemoe o tatou) how are we supposed to feel safe?”

Today would have been the Police Commissioner’s first day back after a 3 month suspension was lifted by a Cabinet Directive (FK) last Friday. The swift reinstatement of Fuiavailiili came after a New Zealand criminal law specialist, Paul Dacre QC, appeared in the Supreme Court last Friday to withdraw charges that had been brought against the Commissioner on the grounds of insufficient evidence.

When he was detained, the Commissioner had his uniform shirt removed and his belongings including his wallet and phone, taken from him before he was placed into the jail cell.  A police officer told Samoa Planet that in previous cases where officers have been arrested, there was always a professional courtesy afforded to them. “I have never seen a policeman being thrown into a cell, when cops are arrested, they get to stay in the waiting area to be remanded.”

Another police officer who did not want to be named commented that “this is a load of BS” and that “Many have been planning this for days. It was all planned! I wanted to talk to the PM (le toeaina) on Friday but he had left for overseas (ua malaga).  I knew something like this would happen (sa ou iloa lava e iai se mea faapea e tupu).”

Concerned family members rushed to the police station, seeking answers and requesting to see their brother. “This is just unbelievable. My brother doesn’t deserve this.” Fuiavailiili’s sister expressed concern for their father as well, “I’m worried about what all of this will do to our father’s health and what will happen if he finds out about this.” There were many questions raised about the legal process, especially because at that point, no charges could be confirmed.

Concerned family at the police station this morning, waiting to be informed of the charges.Another family member who did not want to be named, because they fear for their safety said, ” I feel nauseous when I think about how far they would go to hurt someone for trying to do the right thing. Where does it stop? Even family members feel threatened.”

A cousin added, “They’ve been staking out his house. Police cars just driving back and forth, like they’re just waiting to catch him doing something wrong.”
The Police Commissioner has made 6 appearances in Court over the past 3 months in relation to the previous charges, which has taken its toll on the family.  The National Prosecution Office today confirmed that they have no knowledge of the new charges against the Commissioner.

Assistant Police Commissioner, Samoa Mulinuu Mulinuu said that the directive to detain the Commissioner had come from the Minister of Police, Sala Fata Pinati.

The Prime Minister and the Minister of Police are both out of the country, as is the Attorney General.  The Office of the Acting Prime Minister, Leao Dr Talalelei Tuitama confirmed that an emergency Cabinet meeting was called this morning.

The Police Commissioner and the Constable were remanded at 1.30pm by the Registrar of Courts.  They were then both able to go home.

The police media spokesman said that the police have no comment and they are unable to give any information about the charges.

HRPP's Corruption Talk Raises Eyebrows...

Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption (GOPAC) held an integrity workshop with HRPP govt members this week ,  focusing on ways to strengthen the integrity of Parliament and its members.  It was led by Chair of G.O.P.A.C  Oceania, John Hyde.

GOPAC’s aim is to tackle Government Corruption. According to its website, it explains what govt corruption is:

"GRAND CORRUPTION takes place when leaders entrusted to make and enforce laws in the name of the people misuse this authority to increase their power, status and wealth.

While no form of corruption is acceptable or should go unpunished, GRAND CORRUPTION includes crimes so serious that their effects on human life, human rights and human welfare should be considered a crime against humanity.

In order to combat these forms of corruption, the GOPAC membership unanimously mandated GOPAC to establish GRAND CORRUPTION as a crime of international law to enable international institutions and alliances to apprehend, prosecute, judge and sentence the guilty.
"

The workshop discussed the different types of corruption such as these from Mr Hyde’s Power Point slide show:

Bribery – improper use of gifts and favors for personal gain

Illicit Enrichment – person is unjustly or by chance enriched at the expense of another

Fraud/Theft – a deception deliberately practiced in order to secure unfair or unlawful gain

Abuse of Office  - abuse of entrusted power / misconduct (using office stationery for your personal use)

Obstruction of Justice – interfere with the work of the  police investigators, prosecutors or witnesses in a case

Conflict of Interest
– an individual is confronted with choosing between the duties and demands of their position and own personal interests

So what is corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the HRPP Parliamentarian’s problem with GOPAC, something which Samoa needs to combat corruption that has spread like wildfire in govt?

According to MP Liuga, for Samoa to join GOPAC, it is a conflict of interest. Now I’m asking corrupt PM Tuilaepa and HRPP MPs and their corruption supporters to pinpoint exactly  where the alleged conflict of interest is?

To join GOPAC  is for free and is paid for by the United Nations.  According to Mr Hyde, “What can we do better if we could oversee businesses taking money out of Samoa and hiding it overseas… The Convention makes it easier for you to get with the U.S government to get your Samoan money back.”

Yes money that Samoa lost to money laundering and foreign businesses established here in Samoa especially the fake businesses who took money out of the country. The worst culprits are the Chinese businesses that are sucking up the country’s wealth and send the money back to China and hide it overseas. Sadly, our politicians are heavily involved in this illegal and corrupt practice and the people of this nation suffer the consequences of it.

Also according to the article, ‘the M.P. for Urban West, Faumuina Wayne Fong suggested that what is defined as corruption should be categorised on different levels from low to extreme.
He said a different basket for different levels of corruption should be done instead of labeling everyone as being part of such corruption.’

No one is labeling everyone as being part of such corruption, however, when MPs turn a blind eye to corruption committed by their peers and keep silent about it, they then become part of the corruption committed and therefore will be labeled as such.

It’s not hard to know the different levels of corruption – there’s a big difference in stealing a $10 from the Public Funds and a $100,000 Million, and of course as far as I’m concerned, corrupt PM Tuilaepa and all the members of HRPP are corrupt. Every HRPP MP had and still has access to the OPC and Chief Auditor reports which highlighted corruption within the govt, yet they turned a blind eye and did nothing about it and that’s what Mr Hyde was alluding to.

It appears to me that Mr Hyde did his homework well and knows which corruption was committed by which HRPP MP before the seminar began. Listen carefully to what he said and read between the lines to his responses. Look at his body language and the smirk on his face when  he responded. He basically called all of them CORRUPT FOOLS in a nice way and I am absolutely ashamed of how uneducated and corrupt these hypocrites are who we have running this country.

HRPP are well known for making the excuse that there’s a difference between palagi corruption and Samoan corruption. If you look at the definition of the word corruption, it does not have a race nor a gender – Corruption is corruption!

So what do you call a family member who is a Sa’o o Aiga or govt member  who robs his family of their customary lands/country? Didn’t’ the govt recently talk about laws to regulate the Sa’o o Aiga? Soia ia se kou ke kala pepelo ma kaufaavalea ua akili ai le aliali o le kou aivalea!

So what exactly is corrupt PM Tuilaepa and HRPP’s problem with this? I know why – because corrupt PM Tuilaepa and some of his HRPP members are affiliated with Chinese companies/contractors and the Exim Bank of China in deals worth $100s of Millions, all paid for by the people and the money is hidden overseas. This is what Australia referred to as a boomerang deals.

Shanghai Constructions in the past, put in a tender for construction works here in Samoa. They gave  MP Liuga an all expenses paid for trip worth a $Million and  in return he (MP Liuga)  awarded Shanghai Constructions the tender worth $100s of Millions.  This happened when MP Liuga was a Minister of Finance and this is not the only tender he awarded which was a conflict of interest. Let’s not forget about all the other fraud and corruption he committed too. Is that not a conflict of interest, lack of integrity and transparency right there MP Liuga? Corrupt PM Tuilaepa on the other hand is the kingpin of all the corruption in this nation.

THEREFORE, ON BEHALF OF MY PEOPLE OF SAMOA AND FOR OUR BEST INTEREST,  I CALL ON THE THE UNITED NATIONS,  THE GOVTS OF THE USA,  AUSTRALIA AND NZ, TO PUT PRESSURE ON THE GOVT OF SAMOA TO JOIN GOPAC, SIGN THE UN CONVENTION AGAINST CORRUPTION , REPEAL THE LTRA 2008,  AS WELL AS HAVE ALL OUR CORRUPT MPS INVESTIGATED, PROSECUTED AND JAILED EVEN IF IT WILL COST THIS COUNTRY $10S OF MILLIONS.

CORRUPTION IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF UNEMPLOYMENT, HIGH CRIME RATE, POVERTY, EDUCATION FAILURE, POOR HEALTH SYSTEM ETC AND YOU ALL KNOW THAT. SAMOA HAS BEEN RUN BY CORRUPT THUGS/THIEVES.  IF THE GOVT OF SAMOA REFUSES TO CO-OPERATE, THEN ISSUE A SANCTION BY FREEZING FOREIGN AIDS AND DO WHAT YOU MUST TO HAVE THIS CORRUPT HRPP GOVT REMOVED.

In the past, the Cook Islands was one of the most corrupt countries in the South Pacific -  after joining GOPAC, their economy improved. Niue has joined GOPAC too and they have become debt free and corrupt free and their economy has improved remarkably as well. The people of both these Islands have benefitted from it. Both these Islands have also signed the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC). So why is HRPP denying Samoa this opportunity? Because the people will benefit but not the corrupt fools in govt  and we all know this HRPP govt has never being for the people but always for themselves.

Another reason this corrupt HRPP govt refused to join GOPAC is because everything GOPAC stands for, HRPP members are against as they have committed corruption on every level.

Police Commissioner Keil a free man - case dropped...

PicturePolice Commissioner Fuiavailili Egon Keil (Photo credit: Samoa Observer)

Here we go – I have written numerous threads about the case against Police Commissioner Egon Keil and said that he was innocent. I accused the govt and the people involved of wasting taxpayers money. When I first read about this case, it was obvious from the start it was personal – tit for tat.

The people who charged the Police Commissioner should be sacked on the spot and PC Keil should be reinstated back to his job, effective immediately. Just because PC Keil is innocent in a criminal matter that doesn’t mean he’s immune from a civil law suit and that’s a different matter all together.

I warned PC Egon to watch his back – this time around, he better watch it seriously and make sure his senior officers and himself are doing the right thing by the people. The people are watching them all closely.

It’s a hard job for a Police Commissioner to clean up corruption in the Police force when corrupt PM Tuilaepa and the MPs including our former Attorney General Aumua Ming Leung Wai (our lawmakers) are the lawbreakers who break the laws left, right and center.

The ‘law makers’ are the ones who are supposed to protect our Constitution.

HOW CAN THE POLICE DEFEND AND PROTECT THE CONSTITUTION AND ABIDE BY IT WHEN THE LAWMAKERS HAVE BECOME LAW BREAKERS?

For many years now, corrupt PM Tuilaepa has passed many laws that are unconstitutional.

This is the mess of the past and has now caught up with the present – at the expense of the taxpayers, as usual.
